CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Long-established at Crestview shopping Center, the Save Mart grocery recently affirmed community support by joining the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce. The store celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting and free cakes and coffee for customers and visitors.

Part of a California and Nevada chain, the store offers 62,000 square feet of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and staples. It also provides a pharmacy. With a staff of 65, the operation is a substantial local employer and has a track record of assisting community fundraisers. 

Congratulating staff and management, Carmichael Honorary Mayor Izzy DeLancey praised grocery employees as heroes during the pandemic. "It’s thanks to workers like you that I had food on my table," she said. "We appreciate your importance to our community."

Save Mart is located at 4708 Manzanita Avenue, at the Winding way intersection.
